Roulotte Tzigane
A 2-star gîte with a private pool for four and a gypsy caravan for two on the bank of the Lorette stream, in Marsanne, in the Drôme provençale. Told with their own photographs and with everything their welcome booklet knows.
BeforeAfter
The site they had
A free Jimdo with ten entries in the menu, keys drawn as emoji in the heading and a home whose browser tab read “LIVRETS D’ACCUEIL” — the title of another page. The gîte and the caravan shared the same pages, in French only, and what a guest needed was split between the site and five PDFs.
What we built
Seventy-seven pages — eleven per language in seven languages, French first: the gîte and the caravan each with their own page and their own film, the surroundings, the rates and a booking front of our own over the system they already use, an eco-responsible page, and the welcome booklet as a seventeen-page PDF in each language. The whole site scrolls smoothly, and the films advance as you go.
What it shows
Two different stays stop fighting for the same page: whoever came for the caravan sees the caravan. Everything that used to be asked by email — the pool, the stream, what to do nearby, how to get there — is on the site and in the booklet, in the guest’s own language.
